The ground beef purchased and packaged on the 28th of August was rancid on the 30th and was properly refrigerated. I returned to the store and was told there was nothing that could be done if I did not return the product (to which I replied that I was not in the habit of packing rancid hamburger around). I then grabbed another package of ground beef and spoke with the Store Butcher. His reply to me was "Sorry we packaged some older meat the other day". I explained this to customer service and my message again fell on deaf ears. I must say how impressed we were by the entire experience first of all how clean the store was! Absolutely spotless! We got everything we needed for our bbq including liquor, fresh buns, lottery tickets, and a birthday card. Compliments to the butcher and his guys in the meat dept! Excellent job on th huge cuts and marinated meat ideas(really good!)We even picked up a few discounted items we needed for only.99! Friendly lady at bakery VERY helpful! Store manager even said hello! Very Impressed! Keep up the great job! But for a store that has the space they have, it's a very lame effort. A middle-level manager at a typical MarketPlace IGA would throw up at this place. It's also remarkable what is NOT in stock!
