I paid almost $40 for a deboned shoulder of lamb which I braised slowly for a catered 5 course dinner party.To my horror when slicing the meat for 6 portions, I wasnt able to find enough meat. Almost half (2lbs)of the shoulder was FAT..I was terribly embarrassed serving the very small portions I was forced to offer. The meat I was able to salvage was fork tender but so terribly small amount. I am a food blogger , a chef and have been on several cooking shows and competitions. I was hoping to start using Ellas for all my events but will not. I brought fat back to them and had hoped for a reply from owner. They have not responded. Brenda..
its great. although i dont get to the store as often as id like to, when i do go in they are so friendly and so knowledgable to even remember what cut of meat i purchased previously. great shopping experience all round
