My wife went to this cafe with our one year old to celebrate his first birthday with 4 other mothers and their newborns. My wife called the previous day to ask if they were baby friendly and the manager said, definitely yes. When my wife was there (weekday at 2 pm) our son began fussing a bit and the manager asked if she could take the baby outside since the noise was disturbing the customers. Some of these same customers took pictures for my wife and her friends. Later when the ladies were leaving and some of the other babies were fussing the manager also said, This is a one time deal right ladies? I am astounded that an establishment that claims to be baby friendly would treat mothers and their babies this way. I went and talked to the manager and he refused to apologize and compared customers having a few drinks and arguing loudly to a crying baby claiming that both represent other customers being disturbed. He also repeatedly maintained that they were baby friendly (I guess as long as your baby does not cry and is silent/happy all the time). I would never go there, and I hope others would think twice about going to a place that treats mothers and their babies this way.
